I stick to bigger sizes that are UNIQUE.

Would a twenty something college kid win the party wearing this?

If the answer is yes… then I buy it!

Oh, and yes, my husband really is THAT awesome. ;)

Awesome. I need to keep an eye out for those uglies this year. I never would have thought to sell them on ebay.

By the way, what did you list them as? keywords, etc.

That black kitty one sure is making the rounds this year. Several people I know have found that one. Yours are all great! I haven't had any luck selling mine yet, but it may still be a little early.

Your husband gets points! I've been tempted to buy some from the thrift shop and list them on Ebay but I'm afraid they aren't ugly enough!

That is hilarious! Where did you find all these beauties (er, uglies)? You and your husband are a great team :)

Awesome! I got on the Ugly Sweater bandwagon early this year and started selling them beginning of September. They were flying off the shelves! Sales have slowed down now, so I think I'm going to have a "clearance" sale on the few I have left. I know some folks sell them all year round. Actually, most of the sweaters are not "ugly" at all. Some I THINK are ugly, but the buyer loves it. Go figure! Hope you don't mind if I do a post on my uglies and link back to yours!

Awesome finds. I knew ugly sweaters were a hot item I just didn't know why. I guess the uglier the better : ) I know you sell toys too. I was wondering how do you keep up on the recalls? Do you just look up the manufacture on the consumer product safety commision website before you get ready to sell? Is there a better site to use?

Char - Funny you should ask about recalls... I'm actually the "recall specialist" for the jbf consignment sale in our town. I'm no expert, and I'm sure in my reselling adventures I've missed a recall or two, but I try to keep my ear to the ground about new recalls and just like things to "watch for" to sell on ebay... I have a little part of my brain that remembers things to "watch OUT for" as far as what not to buy for resale because of recalls. I usually take the item to the counter or garage sale owner and tell them it's recalled and often I can tell them what action they should take as per cpsc... I'm a dork like that. One of these days my brain is just going to explode! ;)

These are awesome! I never even knew about this so thanks for the tip. Do you recommend selling in November or starting earlier than that? And did you do auctions or buy it now?

This is hilarious. Ugly scores major points here.
