AN ADORABLE ONE OF A KIND CHRISTMAS STORY PENNANT DECORATION :)

 IMG_8315

I just had to post about this.  I don’t take time for crafting very much anymore and I am breaking my arm patting myself on the back because I came up with this idea all on my own.  I didn’t steal it from Pinterest or another blog?!  I can usually pull of crafts pretty well but the ideas never originate in my own head, so when I found this book at GW for 30 cents and had the idea to try and turn it into a pennant I was pretty proud of myself! :)  I guess I shouldn’t say I had the idea all on my own because I would have never even thought of making a pennant before I started seeing them all over the crafting world but the story book idea was all mine!

Good job Janessa, good job.  (I hope you can all hear me teasing myself and don’t read it in the context that my head is about to explode!)

Anyways, I thought it turned out pretty darn cute and it will be perfect decor for my 3rd annual cookie exchange party I’m hosting on the 17th.

Total cost of the project was about $1.  I used scrapbook paper, the story book, glue, and scrap fabric.

This is about as crafty as I’ll probably get this Christmas, what with having a 4 month old, 4 year old, 7 year old, and running a small reselling business out of my 1100sqft home?!

I’m not complaining… all blessings! :)

That is super cute! I am totally the same way as you. I'd love to be more crafty and come up with my own original crafts, but inevitably I'm usually copying something from a blog or Pinterest. Way to go!
