Are You Getting Ready???

Consignment sale season is upon us!  Are you getting ready to sell and or shop?  Here is the best website for all things consignment sales: Consignment Mommies

I personally have probably 500-1000 items to sell this season and have not lifted one finger to get them ready and tagged... heaven help me?!

Here is how I did selling last fall...

Janessa, I was wondering how you price items that are new with tags? Kohls had a great sale last weekend and I bought some Boys size 4-5 khaki pants and longsleeve shirts. I wanted to pair them together. Any ideas on how to price them? I spent about $5 on both items and the retail price is about $30 total. Also, I have some gymboree items I bought used and have no idea how to find out the original price. Any ideas?? Thanks!

I personally price NWT items at about half of what the tag says, so if it says $25 I price it at $12.50. So you have to be careful that after fees it will be worth your original investment. Another option is to price higher and include your item at half price day. Gymboree items would be easy to look up on their website, so if you have a girls size 5 gymboree christmas dress... look on their website to see what easter dresses are selling for and that will give you a good picture of the retail price. Hope that helps, good luck!

Oh..keep the post coming about consignment sales. Such a blessing for me personally. I probably will only do one this spring..but I'll hopefully have around 200 items. One of these days I'll be as big and bad as you ;)
