What I’ve Been Selling

Hello Friends!  Here are some of my favorite sales as of late…

Paid $10 Sold for $50

Paid $10 Sold for $60

Paid $50 (several different purchases combined) Sold for $150

I probably wouldn’t do a potato head lot again unless I got it all for dirt cheap.  Completed listings didn’t look too promising when I listed this but I got lucky and someone paid my full asking price without even making an offer!  I love it when they do that.

Paid $2 (I heart garage sales) Sold for $45 one day after listing them

Grabbed these on a gut hunch for $1 (really had no idea… gut hunch i’m telling ya)

Sold for $50 to a very happy and satisfied customer in California who used them for a professional bakery cake for a “Cast Party” :)

Paid $4 (thank you iphone) Sold for $50

Remember this guy from the Dinosaur Tragedy of 2011?

Ugh. Yes, it sometimes takes me a year to list something.

Paid $1 Sold at auction for $56

How are you doing?

What has been your favorite eBay sale lately?

Are you garage sale-ing like a mad person and stocking up for eBay and consignment sales?

Have a great weekend and may the treasure hunting odds be ever in your favor! ;)

Wow. Great finds! I can't believe someone would pay 50$ for cake toppers for one cake. Must be a fancy party!

The dog plush thing is adorable, too!

Oh my gosh, I have that Cars lamp! I bought it for $3 from a yard sale and gave it to my son but we don't even use it. I'll have to list it if I can convince him to give it back to me, ha ha ha. Thanks!
I've been selling Calvin and Hobbes book lots. I've sold two so far and just listed my third. They have terrific completeds.

I am kicking myself right now because a couple of years ago all those Word World characters were in the clearance section at Target for a couple bucks a piece - gah!!!

Erin - Me neither! ;)
Diana - Yay for having a $50 lamp in your house! :) And thanks for the Calvin and Hobbes tip, I've never grabbed those.
Samantha - Bummer!!!! I'm sometimes afraid that eBay will seriously turn me into a hoarder because of the whole... "well what will it be worth in 10,20,30 years?" question that will make me hang on to everything?!

I'm passing on potato heads too! Well, I wouldn't ever do a bidding on it again, just BIN. Did you promote in your title for those figures to be cake toppers? Sweet sale.

I DID put "cake toppers" as a key word. I always do with any small pvc character figures!

Hey janessa, how do you keep track of exactly how much you paid for something and how much it sold for (including fees)? I have used a spreadsheet before but it gets ugly when you have to figure in all the fees and if it's been relished etc. It ended up taking much more time than I wanted to spend on it. I mean I'd rather spend time listing!! :)

Lauren - I use the easyauctiontracker spreadsheet... my affiliate link is on the sidebar. It has saved me SOOOO much time and stress and the ONLY thing I have to enter is the cost of the item, it pulls everything else from ebay and paypal. I think it cost $50 but I feel it is worth every single penny. It's helped me a lot and it has everything you could want/need for keeping track of additional expenses like mileage, supplies, etc.
